Do something big.
Ambition is important. But action is what really matters.
What we do
We set up Fortitude back in 2015 to answer one question: how can large companies build competitive advantage by addressing the biggest issues of our time?
In our work with dozens of brands and businesses, we’ve achieved this by applying creativity to turn ambition into action.
We asked our clients what they value about us. It came down to three things:
-
If you want to do something big, start with an open mind.
It can be a challenge to imagine the future; we help you bridge the today-future gap with cutting-edge examples that excite, open minds, inspire novel connections and make the future tangible.
We inspire with consumer insight, sustainability megatrends, futures, and inspiration from leaders beyond your sector.
We help you look round the corner and imagine what your role in the future could be.
We help you understand the forces shaping the agenda - from investor demands and new legislation to changing citizen expectations and emerging technologies.
-
The big winners in sustainability are those who push the boundaries and take a leap. They focus on where they can make outsized impact.
Every organisation has a sustainability superpower, but sometimes it's difficult to identify from the inside. We'll work with you to build a strategy that identifies specific themes in sustainability where you can make a disproportionate impact - and that you can own.
We work alongside you to set uncomfortable, stretching ambitions that inspire game changing innovation.
We build on the reality of your business; making change achievable, tangible and credible.
-
Big change in sustainability happens when you can harness the energy and resources from across the whole business.
We understand the reality of how change happens in big organisations; it requires a combination of persuasion, planning and hacking to focus the energy of many teams behind the sustainability agenda.
We work alongside you to lead the change - our work does not end with a fancy PowerPoint!
We help you motivate and energise your colleagues, in a way that is tuned-in to your culture.
We ‘piggyback’ on existing projects elsewhere in the organisation to embed sustainability.
We articulate and visualise the change so the organisation can understand it and get behind it.
We help you equip leadership with fresh perspective, knowledge and messaging to amplify and accelerate the agenda.

I’m a strategist with a range of experience across digital media and creative, brand consulting and advertising. Passionate about using storytelling and technology to make a positive impact in society, I’ve worked with global clients including Google, Ageas, Danone, L’Oréal, GSK, as well as organisations like the International Olympic Committee, the United Nations and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. In a previous life, I was part of the Editorial team of Condé Nast Traveller magazine.

My particular passion lies in equipping our clients to explore and plan for sustainable business models. I draw on over 15 years of consulting experience across sustainability, branding, innovation and futures – always taking a creative, design-led approach. Prior to Fortitude, I worked in marketing for L’Oreal Italy, led Innovation at Forum for the Future and the Sustainability & Foresight practice at Dragon Rouge. I have worked with a number of global brands and businesses over the years, including Method, Burt’s Bees, Royal Mail, Moody’s, Unilever, Pernod Ricard and Levis Strauss &Co.

I see sustainability as the number one source of value creation. My mission is to reinvent the relationship between big companies and the wider world in which they operate. With a combination of creativity, innovation and employee engagement, I help our clients create action-focussed strategies, energise their people and imagine new products and business models.
I’ve been advising big companies and their leadership teams for 20 years. Recently, I’ve worked with Pernod Ricard, Unilever, Compass, Kering, Microsoft, Ageas, Home Depot and Kingfisher.

Leadership will be critical if organisations are to deliver on their sustainability promises over the next decade. I have worked with leaders for over 25 years in organizations such as Citibank, the BBC, Cable & Wireless and GSK. In 2007, I developed Plan A while at M&S - one of the world’s first comprehensive sustainability strategies.
Since then, I have worked around the world advising leadership teams on creating sustainability strategies that deliver value and create impact. At Fortitude, clients have included BASF, the UN, Unilever, L’Oreal and Pernod Ricard.
-
Building relationships with clients has always been central to my roles over the last 15 years. At Fortitude I am passionate about nurturing those relationships, bringing foresight and energy to ensure these projects are delivered with impact. Prior to and during my time at Fortitude I have worked with leading FMCG companies such as Pernod Ricard, SC Johnson, Bacardi, Unilever, Procter & Gamble and Kellogg’s.
